Salicylic Acid benefits for the skin.

Salicylic Acid provides excellent results for the skin due to its exfoliating properties - it assists the dead epidermal skin cells to shed, exposing new, more vibrant and healthy cells below. It penetrates deep into clogged pores to remove dirt, oil and other impurities, loosens and lifts out blackheads and evens out skin tone.
Once pores have been penetrated and unclogged, it helps prevent them from clogging by constricting their diameter. This helps minimize future dirt and oil building up in the skin. Salicylic acid lotions can even break down whiteheads and blackheads -- types of acne that are difficult to treat because as they form within pores.
The anti-inflammatory properties also immediately reduce acne inflammation, whilst making it ideal for sensitive skins.

Salicylic Acid is a Beta Hydroxy (BHA) acid, which is initially derived from the bark of the Willow tree and various wintergreen leaves. Nowadays, Salicylic Acid is synthetically produced under various scientific processes. Its medicinal value as a pain reliever and fever reducer has been well documented since ancient time.

Salicylic Acid can benefit the skin for:-

Clogged and enlarged pores
Acne and acne scarring
Blackheads
Oily/congested skins
Hypertrophic scars
Razor pumps
Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

If you have fair skin, especially if you have oily skin, then you may benefit a great deal from using salicylic acid to open pores. The first thing to know about choosing a salicylic acid product to treat your skin is that it has to be sufficiently acidic to break down fats and open pores. This means that the product has to have a pH of about 4 or lower. It has to be acidic enough that it is likely to sting.
Higher pH products won’t sting, but they won’t open pores, either.
Salicylic acid is one of the most effective treatments for acne on oily skin. A common problem with some acne products is that they list salicylic acid as an ingredient, however they do not contain the right concentration of salicylic acid at the right pH.

We recommend Salicylic Acid as the best treatment for oily, clogged and congested skins- particularly around the T-Zone!
NOTE: Be sure to follow the instructions that accompany your Salicylic Acid product of choice- as over usage can cause the skin to dry out! Spot treatments to the affected area or application to the T-Zone area will alleviate this issue.
